Léo Fourdrinier | Le Confort Moderne, Poitiers, France

22.05 – 02.08.2026 | Exposition collective

From 22 May to 2 August 2026, the exhibition Les Noces de Coquelicot brings together the work of Léo Fourdrinier, curated by Jocelyn Moisson and the Le Confort Moderne.

A graduate of ESAM Caen/Cherbourg in 2017, Fourdrinier took part in the post-graduate residency programme initiated with Le Confort Moderne (Poitiers) in 2018. He also completed a professionalisation programme for artists jointly developed by 40mcube and EESAB in 2019. Alongside his individual practice, he forms the artist duo Jonathan Cyprès & Cécile Gallo with Clément Davout.

Through different bodies of work that mark both an ending and a beginning in the questioning of an established language, Léo Fourdrinier stages the process of a society striving to invent another. By defining a new order for the social life that structures it, these successive systems function as layers that exclude one another in order to constitute themselves, while complementing each other without opposition. His works are conceived in a similar way: through a heterogeneous system of appropriation that traverses eras and geographies, integrating them into the present. Working with temporal gaps and restarts, Fourdrinier’s practice allows us to glimpse a forthcoming society, one that would establish a language of its own, belonging to a new world.

Léo Fourdrinier has recently presented several solo exhibitions and participated in various group shows.
