Guided tour on Saturday, January 6th, starting at 3 p.m.

In the presence of Yvannoé Kruger, with a focus on three artists from the exhibition: Jean-Pierre Bertrand, Charles Hascoët, and Maya Inès Touam.

The gallery Les filles du calvaire is pleased to invite Yvannoé Kruger from December 2, 2023, to January 13, 2024, for the collective exhibition The Lemon is the Most Sincere Flower, bringing together about fifteen artists from each continent to explore the multiple facets of this humble citrus. An icon of art in the making and a sanctuary of the unexplored, the lemon, a simple fruit, unveils itself under an enigmatic light. Both fruit and sun, this gold that grows on trees becomes the guest of honor for the duration of an exhibition.

An essential figure in the world of artists, the lemon is on everyone's lips. Encountered through studio visits, encounters, and travels, its tree, zest, pulp, and seeds are laid bare through a multitude of forms: from design to performance, including painting, installation, photography, or poetry. Join us at the new space of the Les filles du calvaire gallery, 21 rue Chapon, to celebrate the lemon tree's fruit.

The gallery Les filles du calvaire invites Yvannoé Kruger to take over the premises, confirming its desire to broaden its programming through invitations and carte blanche. Yvannoé Kruger is the director of POUSH and the artistic director of Manifesto. He has been involved in exhibition curating alongside artists for more than a decade.
