For Paris Photo 2025, galerie Les filles du calvaire is pleased to present the works of nine women artists: Laia Abril, Helena Almeida, Karen Knorr, Lore Stessel, Diana Markosian, Nelli Palomaki, Katrien de Blauwer, and for the first time, Katalin Ladik and Marie Quéau.
These artists, from different generations and backgrounds, share a common commitment to themes of the body and memory. Their works blend personal narratives, collective histories, and social issues.
This presentation affirms the gallery’s curatorial vision, firmly focused on demanding contemporary photography while highlighting major figures in the history of the image. It also reflects the gallery’s ongoing dedication to the visibility and recognition of women artists in the international photographic field.
