Bianca Argimón Belgium, b. 1988

Smooth appearances, deceptive sweetness: Bianca Argimón’s works occupy that tipping point where beauty wavers and, without a raised voice, reveals the madness of our time.

— Antoine Py & Camille Frasca

Known for her works that blend playful imagery with subtle social critique, she explores complex themes such as power, consumer society, and technology through her drawings, sculptures, and installations. Her distinctive style often incorporates anthropomorphic characters and visual narratives interwoven with irony and absurdity, prompting the viewer to reflect on contemporary issues.

Bianca Argimón graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD) and the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris.

Among her numerous institutional exhibitions are presentations at MACVAL, the Fondation Hermès, the Palais de Tokyo, and more recently at the Fondation EDF and the Frac Sud. She has also participated in notable residencies, including those at the Casa de Velázquez, the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, and the ISCP in New York in 2024.
