From September 5 to October 24, 2026, Qi Zhuo will present a new solo exhibition at Galerie Les filles du calvaire entitled We Cannot Stop Birds of Ill Omen from Flying Over Our Heads, but Perhaps We Can Prevent Them from Nesting There. The title is drawn from a widely known Chinese proverb. For Qi Zhuo, however, the phrase is not a form of psychological consolation; rather, it serves as a working method—one applied to materials, history, and the body.
