Art Orienté Objet | Fundación Cerezales Antonino y Cinia, León, Espagne

28.06 – 11.10.2026 | Exposition personnelle

The exhibition Zoofuturism, presented at the Fundación Cerezales Antonio y Cinia and curated by Rosa Yagüez and Alfredo Puente, is on view from 28 June to 11 October. It brings together some of the most emblematic works by Art Orienté Objet as well as new creations, marking their first solo exhibition in Spain.

Active since the 1990s, the duo Art Orienté Objet is considered one of the pioneers of the “animal turn” in contemporary art. In a context marked by mass species extinction and ecological crisis, their practice questions the effects of progress on our relationship with other life forms and with nature, while opening up perspectives of reconciliation and sketching a post-human horizon already perceptible in the present.

Through a wide range of media—installation, performance, video, photography—the duo mobilizes knowledge drawn from multiple fields such as biotechnology, anthropology, and science fiction, which they intertwine with rituals and shamanic traditions. This hybridization gives rise to a singular universe that is at once experimental, poetic, ironic, and infused with a form of tenderness that is nonetheless radical.
