As part of the exhibition Earth and Sky, artist Sungi Mlengeya will be in conversation with the exhibition curator Daudi Karungi and Simon Njami on Saturday, September 5 at 4 PM, at 17 rue des Filles du Calvaire, 75003 Paris.
Daudi Karungi (born 1979) is an artist, gallerist, and Director of the Kampala Art Biennale. In 2002, he founded Afriart Gallery, now the leading contemporary art gallery in East Africa. He is also the co-founder of START Journal (startjournal.org), Uganda's first art criticism journal.
Simon Njami (born 1962) is a Cameroonian writer, curator, essayist, and art critic. He currently serves as Artistic Advisor to the Sindika Dokolo Foundation and Artistic Director of the Donwahi Foundation (Abidjan).
