Paulien crosses the world observing and filming the ordinary scenes of everyday life. [...] The exercise of his critical mind brings out the absurd in the repetition of gestures that become real rituals.
Paulien Oltheten studied at the Rijksakademie, Amsterdam, and in 2013 she was a resident artist at ISCP, New York. In 2017 she is working at Cite des Arts in Paris.
